Minions, Universal Studios Singapore

There is a saying, A friend is need, is a friend in deed. Today’s daily prompt reminded me of the Song which I always hear play in certain episodes of Grey’s Anatomy. The title of the song by Sam Smith – Stay with Me and the minions from Despicable Me.

Here is how the song goes – lyrics below…

“Stay With Me” – Sam Smith

[Verse 1:]
Guess it’s true, I’m not good at a one-night stand
But I still need love ’cause I’m just a man
These nights never seem to go to plan
I don’t want you to leave, will you hold my hand?

Oh, won’t you stay with me?
‘Cause you’re all I need
This ain’t love, it’s clear to see
But darling, stay with me

[Verse 2:]
Why am I so emotional?
No, it’s not a good look, gain some self-control
And deep down I know this never works
But you can lay with me so it doesn’t hurt

[Chorus 3x]

So it kind of reminds me of the song… the emotional tune… and how we have made many friends through our life journey. How some and go out of our lives, some become our good buddies or buddies for various activities we engage in our own life – like gym buddy, travel buddy etc.

Everyone has their choices of friends to hang out with or travel with. And over time , these people too fade in and out of our lives. As much as singing is a kind of therapy, songs bring out the inner messages close to our hearts.

    1. HI Megan, that is true indeed. Be it a song or puppy. I chosen this song because it rings in my mind when I saw the prompt – Buddy. Though the song was more about love – but it works either way.
