Hotel Review: ibis Styles Kuala Lumpur Fraser Business Park , Malaysia (Standard Room)

This for one is not a typical visit to Ibis Styles Kuala Lumpur Fraser Business Park. Though it is my 4th time staying in this hotel, this is also the first time I feel very Welcome by the hotel. Though, my first visit was back in 2014 – that year alone I had 3 stays in ibis Styles KL.

A surprise from the hotel.

The location of this hotel is rather unique, it was formerly a F&N cannery factory site – which was redeveloped into a shopping mall, office and retail space. Though much of the mall is non existance. But it is conveniently connected to the Chan Sow Lin LRT and other amenities nearby make it a not too bad place to stay. Also, the hotel has got two daily shuttle service to KLCC and Pavilion in the morning.

While those are the added perks of staying at the not so busy part of Kuala Lumpur, with the LRT right at the hotel doorstop via the link bridge, it makes travel to Bukit Bintang, KLCC and Chinatown pretty much accessible too.

Daily shuttle service available to KLCC and Pavilion, as well as Taxi service.

If you have a craving for IKEA Meatballs, the new IKEA Cheras store is also a shuttle bus journey away as well. The location of the hotel is also near the popular night spot – ZOUK KL – which is pretty nearby.

Just some of the little things I noticed during my most recent stay at the hotel.

Breakfast is served every morning – part of ibis Styles standard offering. Meanwhile, the in house restaurant serves lunch dinner and alcohol with happy hour promotions. Price point too is pretty reasonable. However, there is no in-room dining in this hotel.

During this stay, though my status for LeClub AccorHotels was classic status (was in the process of re-qualifying my Silver status), I received a little surprise from the hotel – a plate of green apples :). Being a avid eater of fruits when I travel, I was very happy with the small gesture.

The rooms have been neatly designed to maximise use of space available within each room and to allow natural light to flow into the rooms.  Every room comes with basic amenities – like water boiler, coffee and tea, minibar, desk.

There is very well utilisation of space to compact the shower area and hanger for clothes. Also each floor has its own space for sitting to relax and day dream…

Spacious lounge at each floor lift lobby

The hotel also comes with a mini gym which is well equipped for compact use of gym equipment – and is open from morning till evening.

So far, ibis Styles KL Fraser Business Park has never failed to surprise me with the little goodies they throw in.

Nearest Station: Chan Sow Lin LRT

  1. Thanks for that now I know how it really looks like as I almost book there the last time I went to KUL but I went to Swiss Hotel instead near the Chinatown for shopping purposes 🙂
