Tucked along the stretch along Rochor Road, it is hard not to notice this Ramen place – unless you have always been walking very quickly or skip this stretch of shops entirely.
Happen to have some Ramen craving while I was at Bugis on a Friday evening, so decided to check out this place. While it is always hard to find food places open past 9:30 pm on weekday nights, I was lucky to chance upon Keisuke Ramen Tonkotsu King Four Seasons. So decided to give it a try since Keisuke as so far not failed me to want to explore their food outlets. As usual with any other Keisuke outlets, we will see the free flow of white and brown eggs and bean sprout.
The conventional ordering process begins with writing on the paper provided the item you will like to have, then follow by the soup type, intensity, etc. The order chit is in both English and Japanese.
This outlet is unique unlike the other outlets for its interior decoration is themed after the four seasons – as the outlet name suggest. Though, despite so, the wall art just looks very cultural in design and well maintained so far.
For this dinner, I ordered the Sakura Cola (SGD$3.00), something new to try for me. But I would still prefer the Wasabi Ginger Ale, which I feel is more flavourful as compared to the plain taste of Sakura Cola – which felt more gassy and artificial in comparison.
The bowl of Autumn Special (non-spicy) while I had requested for no chicken oil and for lightly flavour soup – it still tasted very flavourful as perhaps due to the Bonito and other ingredients added for the Special order.
For the price and the amount of food, it looks pretty reasonably priced and worth a visit. Another point of note is the bowls are themed according to the Ramen which is ordered. It feels pretty much like how Sanpoutei Ramen does their food presentation.
