Some other food places and snacks worth mentioning

Home Biscuit Cake (Facebook) – Top Left

This fruit tarts shop is not located within Taipei City. I was given two tarts – mango and blue berry; by my Taiwanese friend who met up during the trip. She got it from Home Biscuit in Hsinchu. The tarts from made fresh daily.
Address: 紅帽烘焙 Home Biscuit, 北區和福街119號1樓, 300 Hsinchu, Taiwan

Ay-Chung Rice-Flour Noodles 阿宗麵線 – Top Right

A type of local Taiwanese snack, this snack shop serves this Taiwanese dish with pig intestines. They are other variations that come with oysters or both oysters and small intestines which you can also find in the night markets around Taiwan.
Address: No. 8-1 Emei Street, Taipei Wanhua District, Taipei City

Jade Patisserie 玉香齋素食烘焙 (Website) – Bottom

While I was walking along Zhongxiao East Road towards Songshan Cultural Park, I pass by this shop selling vegetarian snacks and pastry. What attracted me into the shop was small of bread. However, the purpose of stepping in was not to buy bread, but to check out the snacks on packaged display. They have different varieties of pineapple tarts as well as Q biscuit – vegetarian floss biscuit like pastry.
Address: No. 1, Alley 2, Lane 553, Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City, Taiwan 110

I would be back in the near future for more experiences within Taiwan. This short getaway was real short one and I felt that I just can’t get enough of the food and wilderness within Taiwan.

Note: Some of the links will be updated in the coming weeks when in-depth write up of the places visited, once the posts are published.
