Hotel Review: Ascott Raffles Place – Singapore (Cutler Suite)

Did a recent stay at the Ascott Raffles Place over the Christmas weekend. The room is pretty big in comparison to normal hotels and at a fraction of a price. Though it is an old conservation building, where the former Asia Insurance Building was. The Asia Insurance Building was also known as the A.I. Building, but was renamed to Ascott Raffles Place with the redevelopment of the building into a serviced apartment residence in November 2008.

The room is pretty big and spacious with the small coffee table and daybed at the sides. The attached bathroom comes with a bathtub and rain shower. The bathroom amenities are fromL’Occitane en Provence.

It has a full function kitchen with oven, fridge, cutleries, as well as a washing machine and dryer.

Gym & Lounge

The gym is 24 hours, while the swimming pool is open from 6am till 9pm daily. There is also the guest lounge that serves small tidbits, Nespresso coffee and TWG tea.

Overall Impression

Good for families and business escapades, not so much for a weekend staycation or gathering. The apartment has a no party policy and all guests to leave at 10pm. However, it is not explicitly stated on their website.
