Located along Dundas st, it is very conveniently located within walking distance to Nathan Road and the nearby Ladies Market. This is the 2nd IHG property I visited in Hong Kong. The first being InterContinental Hong Kong.
The room is very simplistic in design with a functional table, wardrobe, veranda and curvy shape bathroom. Quite the elements you will find at Budget hotel chains. Except that, Dorsett Mongkok feels slightly better than an Ibis or Holiday Inn Express in terms of facilities. While for the size of the room, Holiday Inn is definitely bigger and with a day bed by the side too.
Basic toiletries are also provided in the room. There is also the mini bar (does not come with any items inside), coffee and tea with an electric kettle. The TV offers a wide selection of channels to choose from so you won’t be bored if there is any inclement weather.
Breakfast is served at the meeting room area on the 5th floor and begins at 6.30am till 10:30am daily. There is free flow coffee, tea and juices, while the breakfast set is on per set order basis. A wide variety of choices from western to local breakfast sets available as well as fruits platter as a selection too.
The front office check-in is speedy and the staff are always ready to assist with any enquiries. And not to forget that when you book direct, as an IHG member, you get discount and welcome drink (something unique to this brand I feel).
