Took a short and quick weekend turnaround trip to Kuala Lumpur in the mid of August. It has been about one year since the last visit.
No more evening flights
To begin the trip with a slight flight delay on a evening flight out isn’t much of a good thing. The flight despite being 30 minutes delay from the scheduled 9:15pm departure was retimed to 9:145pm. Hence, arriving at KL at 10:45pm. Took an hour to clear immigration and manage to get some light food as there were shops still operating and Glad there was the option of KLIA Ekspress to KL Sentral. It would have been wise to stay at the hotels near KL Sentral – such as Hilton KL; if take evening flights out. However, being a first time evening travel out, that was something I had miscalculated. So I took a Grab ride to the Holiday Inn express KLCC.
Kl has always been a place for food and shopping. However, it doesn’t stop at shopping for me. It’s worth checking out how shopping malls are doing – especially Pavilion and lot 10.
While I did actually do some shopping there, this trip was more for food than to really shop.
Visited Jogoya (Starhill Gallery) for their buffet lunch (RM122 per pax), and had seafood dinner at Kai Seng Seafood Restaurant.https://www.jogoyarestaurants.com/ https://www.facebook.com/Kai-Seng-Seafood-Restaurant-%E4%BD%B3%E5%9F%8E%E6%B5%B7%E9%B2%9C%E9%A5%AD%E5%BA%97-1743089345919205/

Home sweet Home
So at the end of the trip, was a smoother ride back with the convenience of in-town check in at KL Sentral for Malaysia Airlines. If you are taking Malindo Air or Cathay Pacific, this option is available too.
I would say it was a very comfortable trip, with lots of food and moving around.
