Did a quick few hours stay at Ibis Novena recently, as I needed some quiet time to go through some work in a quiet environment.
As I was browsing for last-minute stays, chance upon Ibis Novena which was one of the few Ibis properties in Singapore that I had wanted to visit.
Upon checking in, as a LeClub AccorHotels Gold member, I was upgraded to a room with extra benefits.
As the hotel is part of the planet 21 program, they no longer provided bottled water. In lieu of which, you will receive glass tumblers with water instead – bear in mind you will have to return these to them.
Verdict
Location is rather not too accessible considering the 8 minutes walk from Novena MRT.
The hotel offers scheduled shuttle buses to Novena MRT, alternatively, there are also buses located outside the hotel that brings you to places such as Boon Keng MRT, Jalan Besar and Bugis MRT.
However, if you are a lazy person like myself, who just needs food. There are actually 2 small malls nearby – Zhong Shan Park and Shaw Balestier. Also, the famous Boon Tong Kee chicken rice restaurant, hawker centre and the Novena Medical Center are nearby with a bus stop distance, which still makes it quite a worthwhile Budget alternative stay in this area.
